Her brothers honestly could care less about her social life, as long as she never got in trouble. That wasn't to say that Cece didn't break the rules, but she knew how to get around everything. Most of the times, anyways. Besides, Vix was there half the time to bail her out if anything happened.
They'd been friends since the first day Vix came to town a few years back. Cece remembered it like it was yesterday. Cece'd helped her get settled. Sure, they didn't spend every waking moment with each other, but it was nice to sneak off every night just to come see her at the saloon.
She tied her stallion to the post right outside of Lone Star. By the looks of it, there weren't too many other costumers.
Cece adjusted her hat to hide her face well before walking in. She went right up to the bar and perched on a stool, looking for Vix from the corner of her eyes.

Vix had been dressed casually for once. Her trademark scarlet dress as put away for the day thankfully. A black cowboy hat donned her head and her hair was tucked into the hat, giving her the appearance of a very feminine boy.
She hummed quietly as she cleaned the bar counter, the sleeves of her shirt rolled back to her elbows. Vix glanced upwards as she sensed someone sit down at the bar. She smirked a little and tapped the counter space in front of Cece.
"How may I help ya darlin'?"

"Why hello there," Cece grinned at the site of Vix. "I'd like a straight scotch please, ma'am." She felt like she deserved that after today's commotions.
"How's business goin', Vix?" she asked casually, elbows on the counter eagerly. "Got any in'erestin' costumers tonight?" She nodded her head towards the rest of the saloon.

"Scotch it is!" Vix moved and grabbed one of the various scotch bottles and poured the liquid into a glass, setting it down in front of Cece. She glanced around before pouring some into a smaller glass and quickly downing it. "S'good scotch..." She nodded her head towards the bottle she was holding and quickly put the cork back in the bottle.
"Business is business as usual, got the regulars and the usual few who want ta' start somethin'..." She shrugged her shoulders and grinned a little at Cece. "There wasn't anyone too interestin' but a good lookin' fellow was in here..."

Cece shot her scotch down straight, feeling it burn a pathway down her throat. "Ahh... well, I needed tha'." She chuckled at Vix downing a shot herself.
She put glass down, motioning to Vix to get her some more of the dry liquor. "A good-lookin' fella, ya say?" She screwed up her visage in concentration, remembering the stranger from this morning. A goofy smile was spread on her lips as she drawled, "What'd ya say he look'd like, then?"

Vix quickly served Cece some more scotch, pouring a little bit more for herself. She shrugged her shoulders a little and adjusted her hat. "I'm not even sure if I can even describe 'im perfectly. You know I keep my eye out on a lotta men, Ce." She winked at the girl before downing the small portion of scotch she poured in her glass.
"There's some pretty nice 'uns here though, have to admit."

"I'm not even sure if I can even describe 'im perfectly. You know I keep my eye out on a lotta men, Ce."
Cece laughed briefly, lifting her glass to her mouth before just taking a sip of the scotch. She didn't intend on being that drunk (not that she became drunk anymore; she'd honestly learned her lessons), but just buzzed, as some said.
"I know how ya keep an eye out, tha' I do," Cece said in a hoarse voice. The alcohol had done its damage already, if one could call it that. Cece knew how Vix liked to, well, get around. It's what Cece liked about her.
"I've to say," Cece slurred slightly, "I met 'un today when I fell off my horse righ' in fron' o' the general store. Frighten'd half the town, I did. Bu' he came and helped me up. Shawks, I ain't even asked his name!"
Cece realized this and exhaled a dramatic sigh. "Ah, Vix, shoulda been there. After all the trouble, he says, 'You ever need a thing just whistle. I'll be there in a flash.'" Now she had a goofy smile on her face as she remembered the stranger. "But I ain't seen 'im 'round heres 'fore. Mus' be new."

Dale walked slowly, keeping one eye open for the Law. It was riskey coming back into town after catching sight of the lawman. But Dale liked to walk on the wild side. Plus, there was that pretty little thing that had a bit of trouble with her horse. He smirked at the thought. It was hard to get the girl off his mind which was becoming an issue. He had to do something or his work would suffer and in his line, that wasn't acceptable.
So he was walking to the one place he expected to get some real information: the Lone Star. Saloons were where people went to talk and he wanted someone to talk about the girl. He only knew her last name. Carpenter. He could find her, would find her, and then he would try to figure on how he was going to stop being so distracted by her.
He pushed the doors open and found himself a table, keeping his head low, his eyes shifting around, wanting to make sure there wasn't someone who would want to do him any real harm. It wouldn't do to have to break out of a jail. Them things were just bothersome.

Daniel stood at the middle of the bar, wiping it down and listening to the chatter amongst the two girls near him. Usually you wouldn't be able to hear someone fire a gun in the noisy saloon, but it was still early, so it wasn't quite so busy yet. "I'll take a scotch." He glanced up at the older man in front of him and nodded before quickly pouring a glass. Dan was usually good at guessing people, being able to tell just what type of customer they'd be. This man he was having trouble with. Couldn't tell if he was a one-drink celebrator or some old man that would have a few and stay into the late hours telling tall tales to anyone that would listen. This place had seen it's fair share of both.
Serving the man his drink, Daniel continued to wipe down the counter and rolled his eyes a bit as the girls' conversation switched to men. He could tell that conversation had been coming and since it interested him no more, he zoned out and glanced around the bar at the few customers in there. The swinging of the door caught his eye though and he looked up to find a man about his own height, with a dark look about him. Dan guessed outlaw in a second, but he wouldn't go running for the law. He wasn't one to rat someone out unless they'd done something personal to him, so as far as he was concerned, this man was just another customer.

"Oh really now?" Vix smiled and put away the scotch bottle, leaning against the bar. She glanced over at Dan, smiling a little at him as well and waved at him a little before turning her attention back onto Cece. But then someone else entered the saloon and she let out a quiet laugh.
"Back so soon, mister?" Vix called out to Dale, an amused look on her face.

Cece opened her mouth to reply to Vix, but she was distracted when Vix waved at someone. Out of curiosity, Cece turned around and 'lo and behold, it was the man from this morning!
Thank goodness his eyes were hidden beneath that hat of his. Cece lowered her own hat and shrank in her stool. She wished now that the alcohol wasn't running through her veins. She might end up doing something stupid. Or make an idiot out of herself.
Trying to get Vix's attention, she mouthed, "That's him!"

Dan raised a curious eyebrow at Vix and at her little wave just smirked and shook his head. That girl radiated trouble. He'd told himself not to get caught up in her, that he'd seen what happened to men that did. Problem was that it hadn't worked in the least bit.
Catching what Cecil mouthed as the man walked closer and Vix addressed him, Daniel could just tell that this was going to get good. Still, he didn't want anything happening to Cece, who looked like she wanted to sink straight into the floorboards. Vix obviously didn't notice a thing, so he decided to send her a bit of a hint.
Going to grab another bottle of scotch, he slipped behind Vix. He paused only for a moment to whisper something into her ear. "What yourself, pretty girl..." With that being said, he bent down, grabbed a new bottle of scotch and helped another man who was obviously a healthy man when it came to drinkin'.

Vix noticed the change in Cece and blinked. Why had she suddenly…? The girl tilted her head a little as Cece mouthed two words towards her. She blinked again and looked to Dale and then to Cece before letting out a quiet gasp as Dan came up behind her and whispered into her ear.
She hated and loved it when Dan did that. His voice sent shivers down her spine and the fact that he was in such proximity only make her heart beat faster.
"Say what, Dan?" Vix turned, murmuring her response to him with an innocent look on her face.

Vix jumped as his warm breath hit her ear and Dan couldn't help, but admit that he loved that. Getting a girl like her to be surprised about anything was an accomplishment in it's own. That's why things like this often happened on a daily basis. They both knew it was innocent flirting and though Daniel couldn't exactly speak for Vix, he knew that he liked it more then enough. Still that little gasp spoke wonders that maybe she liked it too.
The innocent look on her face made the smirk appear again as her poured two shots of whiskey, one for the drunkard in front of him and one for himself. Taking it down with ease and only a bit of burn he turned walked a bit closer to her and responded, "I think you know just what I mean, Vix. You're playing with fire." Of course, if anyone knew this girl, they'd know that that was just what she liked to do. His saloon girl was the kind that just loved to go looking for trouble and more often then not, it found her with ease.

Dan was someone Vix could never really put her full intentions on. She liked him a bit too much to leave him hanging as she did so many other men. The fact that he was her boss also might've helped her tone it down. But she couldn't help but flirt with him. She loved it. The saloon girl smiled devilishly at Dan, moving towards him before wrapping her arms around his neck loosely.
"But I like playing with fire, Dan…" She pouted at him a little, the innocent look still at full speed. Daniel James was simply someone who she couldn't bring herself to do her worst on. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't bring herself to.
